The german Association of Telecommunications and Value-Added Service Providers (VATM) e.V. is publishing the 25th edition of its yearbook this spring. The anniversary edition recalls the complicated beginnings of a free telecommunications market in Germany in many exciting guest articles.
Likewise, the new Yearbook 2023 is about shaping a digitalised world with strong telecommunications networks as a prerequisite for the use of artificial intelligence, for metaverse and for further automation. ChatGPT, the opportunities of telephony and smart services, resilient and sustainable infrastructures, are topics that not only move the industry.
Dr. Lutz Reingen, Head of Key Account Management Energy & Telecommunication at coeo, is represented with a guest article on the topic of "Metaverse - opportunities for collection service providers". He addresses the exciting question of what the "Adventure Metaverse" has in store for debt collection companies in the future and how it can - and should - already be used and shaped today.
Under the motto "Competition connects", more than 120 of the telecommunications and service companies active in the German market are involved in the VATM. Since 1997, the association has been working for politically and economically reliable framework conditions as well as for fair competition within the industry. Its office in the capital is in Berlin. coeo has been a member of the VATM since 2013.
On 136 pages, the VATM anniversary yearbook offers a wide-ranging overview of the situation of the telecommunications industry in Germany and plenty of information - whether in the text articles or multimedia as a link to the video statements of VATM member companies on current topics.
