Many retailers know it: The customer buys on account in their online shop, receives the goods - but the money does not arrive. The problem is not new. Already in 2010, 20 percent of the online retailers surveyed in an Ibi-Research study stated that 75 to 100 percent of their invoices are not paid.
For retailers, the non-payment is more than a trifle. If customers do not pay their bills, in the worst case this can endanger the company's liquidity - and ultimately the existence of the retailer.
